The After School Program is available for kids ages 3-18. Each child will be placed into a group based on their skill level. Please read the program descriptions to see which class is the best fit for your child. A 20% discount is available per student when registering siblings or if the child has a parent that participates in adult program (the discount is applied to the 1-class per week rate). Registering as a family is now available in the Program Registration tab to the left under FAMILY REGISTRATION. When registering as a family, select the appropriate session length by reviewing our program dates at the bottom of this page.

INTRODUCTORY CLASSES (3-5 year olds)
These classes are 30-minutes long and your child will receive one-on-one instruction. The focus of the instruction will be to provide a solid foundation for the child which will be needed at all other levels of progression. If a child is 3-5 years old but has advanced beyond the introductory level, a switch will be made into the Beginner Group with 6-7 year olds. Missed classes without 1 day notice can only be made up with a group class.
COST: 1-class a week ($25/wk per person); 2-classes a week ($40/wk per person); 3-classes a week ($60/wk per person); 4-classes a week ($80/wk per person). Registration is done by the session.
BEGINNER CLASSES (6-7 year olds)
These classes will last 1-hour. The average class size is 3-4 children, but groups as large as 6 are permitted if you are registering as a group. All new players to the program will be placed in at least 1 introductory class in lieu of their first group class to guarantee proper placement and ensure that the child has the minimum skills needed to work comfortably within a group. If a child is 6-7 years old and has progressed beyond the beginner level, a switch will be made into the Intermediate Group.

INTERMEDIATE CLINIC (Ages 8+)
These clinics will last 90-mins with a maximum class size of 4. This group is designed for players who either have prior experience or for any child that is 8+ years old. 8+ year olds will experience a rapid increase in skill level even without prior experience due to an easier ability to learn and retain information. Students will receive instruction and will also be exposed to competitive situations.
COST: 1-class a week ($35/wk per person); 2-classes a week ($60/wk per person); 3-classes a week ($90/wk per person); 4-classes a week ($120/wk per person). Registration is done by the session.
ADVANCED & TOURNAMENT PLAYERS CLINIC (any age)
These clinics are for players from any background that are able to play competitively. Players who have participated in lessons with our program will receive feedback and instruction consistent with what is learned in a lesson. Players who receive coaching from someone outside of our staff will not receive instruction (in order to avoid confusion for the player) but will still be put in competitive situations and receive general feedback on how points are played. Participation in this group must be approved by the Tennis Director. If you are a new student looking to join this group please contact us by e-mailing info@TropicalParkTennis.com or calling/texting 305-926-0147 so that an evaluation can be set up. Classes are 2-hours long.

ACADEMY, JR ACADEMY, AND DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM
These programs are available to select players who show a commitment to developing into tournament level players. Players are required to participate in 1 lesson format (private, semi-private, or group lesson) and at least 2 other programs a week. Players are also expected to regularly participate in UTR or USTA events. Please contact JD@TropicalParkTennis.com for information on placement in this group.
